The highlights of the week? Seeing how lovely Jane Sherperdson actually is in real life (buzzing around the office, interested in everything and everyone), seeing the famous Whistles shed (everyone needs a shed in their office) and, top of the list: getting a sneaky peak of the SS11 collection.
Rusty reds, a chocolate box selection of nudes, with lots of that emerging SS11 staple: white - the collection is just lovely.

There's a cute retro tone to a lot of the pieces: the short shift dresses, the A-Line minis and midi skirts, and (a fashion raccoon favourite) the peter pan collar:

Parts of the collection are starting to filter through to the website and stores now, including one of the dream showpieces - the Valentina Studded Short Suit:

It's the perfect cut.
It's both grown up and cool.
It's prim navy made coquettish with a youthful splattering of silver studs.
It's also very Alexa Chung (yes, that old style chestnut...)
But it's also £225 for the jacket and another £135 for the shorts, so time to get saving I think!

I didn’t realise you had got yourself a placement at Whistles, how was it all? Did you enjoy the experience of a fashion team – V jealous by the way, love a bit whistles.
